A teenager was killed in a crash in Aberdeenshire last night.
The 19-year-old, who has not been named, was a passenger in a red Ford Fiesta when it left Station Road in Mintlaw and struck a tree.
It was the only vehicle involved in the accident, which happened at 8.50pm,
A police spokesman said: “The 19-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle and sadly died at the scene.
“The 17-year-old male driver and three further passengers, an 18-year-old male and two 17-year-old females, were all conveyed to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment to their injuries.
“None of their injuries are believed to be life threatening.”
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw the vehicle before the accident to contact them on 101.
