A man and a woman have been cut free from a car by firefighters after it went on its side on a north east road.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of the incident at the A96 Aberdeen to Inverurie road’s junction with an unclassified road, opposite Marshall Trailers, near Tyrebagger.
Police, fire and ambulance were called after the two people became trapped in the blue Vauxhall Zafira, which ended up on its side.
The unclassified road between Newhills and Craibstone is closed, south of the A96 junction, due to the incident.
Three fire appliances from North Anderson Drive and Aberdeen Central were called to the incident to free them.
A fire and rescue spokesman said: “The call came in at about 4pm. It was on the unclassified road at Chapel of Stoneywood.
“It’s just one vehicle on its side. We have two appliances from north Anderson Drive and central, they are still on scene.
“We just had to stabilise the vehicle and get the two people out of it.
We used cutting gear, lights and stabilisation blocks.”
A police spokesman said: “There were no serious injuries. The couple have been checked over by the ambulance and are fit and well. They are being taken by police to relatives nearby.”
The road will remain closed until the car is recovered.
