A man has appeared in court accused of indecently assaulting a 12-year-old girl in an Aberdeen street.
Monirul Islam appeared in private at the city’s sheriff court yesterday facing three charges.
He is accused of carrying out a sexual assault on a child as well as an adult. He is further accused of acting in a threatening and abusive manner.
The offence, alleged to have been committed against the schoolgirl, is said to have taken place in the Park Place or Princes Street area of the city at around 8.45am on November 25.
Islam, whose address was given in court papers as Dundee, made no plea when he appeared yesterday.
His case was committed for further examination and the 34-year-old was remanded in custody.
He will appear in court again on December 11.
