At around 1am a brief snow began to fall in the city for the first time in the festive season. Snow falls in an Aberdeen car park on Wednesday morning at 1am Who knows – it could be a white Christmas in the north-east after all! It comes as the north of Scotland and other parts of the UK prepare for violent storms of up to 80mph. Forecasts have predicted the foul weather will batter the Western Isles, west coast, Orkney and Shetland today.
