Aberdeen is the world’s sixth most expensive holiday resort, according to an online accommodation website.
Airbnb, a site that helps travellers find rentals, has listed the Granite City as one of the top 10 most costly cites – making it the only UK destination to appear on such a listing.
The average price to rent a property in Aberdeen through Airbnb is £134 a night.
However, online travel comparison site GoEuro, said the average price to stay in the oil capital of Europe was £64 when taking into account Airbnb properties, hotels and hostels.
Aberdeen closely followed Boston, Cancun, New York, Dubai, Macau in the ranking.
Aberdeen also appears in the top 20 for most expensive five-star hotels – at 14th place with an average price of £284 per night.
