A pedestrian was taken to hospital in Aberdeen after being hit by a car in the city-centre at the weekend.
The incident, involving a black Ford Mondeo, happened on Alford Place at around 10.20pm on Saturday night.
The 52-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance for treatment.
He is thought to have suffered a minor head injury.
A police spokesman said it was not “life-threatening”.
The road was closed between Holburn Junction and Rubislaw Place until shortly after 11pm.
Staff at The Albyn, nearby, confirmed police came into the popular city nightspot asking for assistance.
Last night, local councillor Martin Greig said drivers and pedestrians needed to take extra care during the festive season.
The Liberal Democrat member for Hazlehead, Ashley and Queens Cross, added: “We don’t know what happened in this case, but at this time of year, there is a greater level of socialising and activity in the city-centre and it is important that extra care is taken by both drivers and pedestrians.
