Police and pub landlords in Dyce, Bucksburn and Kingwells have teamed up to stamp out trouble over the festive period.
Pubwatch will be running in the three communities, as well as other areas of Aberdeen, to minimise antisocial behaviour and alcohol-fuelled violence.
As part of the scheme, troublemakers can be banned from entering any premises taking part for anything form six months to life, depending on the severity of offences committed.
Constable Kelly Park, from the Bucksburn community policing team, said: “Traditionally Christmas is a time that sees many individuals consuming alcohol and sometimes to excess, which can sometimes lead to instances of anti-social behaviour and violence.
“Whilst we do not want to limit anyone’s enjoyment, we strive to ensure that the small minority do not spoil things for the vast majority who are out having a good time.”
