Hundreds of Santas hit the streets of Aberdeen yesterday to run a charity 5k.
More than 400 red-coated runners of all ages made the trip from Lapland to Pittodrie to raise funds for Wildhearts, a charity which supports people in developing countries around the world.
After 15 minutes of jumping jacks, stretches and other exercises to warm up, the Santas all took off from the starting line outside Pittodrie stadium and raced for just over three miles.
P&J photographer Jim Irvine was there to capture the best of the action.

Some runners were helped by reindeer
Others required more powerful help
But the majority relied solely on their own legs
