A busy north-east high street could be home to yet another fast food outlet, if a new planning proposal is given the go ahead. Plans to convert the empty unit next to Robert Emslie jewellers on Peterhead’s Queen Street have been submitted to Aberdeenshire Council planners. The shop ahad been used by Robert Emslie as a giftware outlet until it was put on the market in recent years. The move comes after popular fast food brand Wimpy pulled out of the town-centre. If agreed, the new eatery would become the sixth in Queen Street.
