Bristow donates more than £15,000 to children’s charity

More than £15,000 has been donated to a Scottish children’s charity by a helicopter firm serving the oil and gas sector.
Bristow Helicopters handed over the cash to Aberlour at its training base in Dyce.
The charity, set up after Moray’s Aberlour Orphanage shut its doors in the 1960s, provides support and services to youngsters and their families.
Earlier this year, a team from Bristow volunteered at Aberlour’s Old Aberdeen family service centre, painting its indoor nursery, outhouse and outdoor play equipment.
Seonaid Christie, maintenance and production planner at Bristow, said: “We hope the donation will go towards helping the charity to continue to deliver its outstanding services to those children and their families who may need a little extra support to ensure they stay safe and happy.”
Lydia Fyall, Aberlour senior fundraiser, said: “We are delighted to receive this generous donation. The team at Bristow have been great supporters all year.”
