A woman who was spared jail for crying rape stripped off a young child before filming her and posting the images online.
Shannon Main took naked pictures of the primary school aged girl and forced the child to stand naked in front of a webcam while two men watched on Skype.
The 20-year-old carried out the abuse on various occasions between January and November 4 last year, and was only caught after the little girl confided in her brother, who told her mum.
Main admitted a string of charges when she first appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court last month.
Sentence was deferred until yesterday for background reports to be carried out into her character. However the case was further deferred when Sheriff William Summers heard the social workers felt she was at risk of offending again.
As a result he ordered a further psychiatric report to be carried out.
He told her solicitor, Stuart Murray, that the charges were “so serious” she was “staring into the abyss”.
Main admitted three charges, which involved taking indecent images of a child, having these images in her possession and distributing them over a 10 month period.
She also sexually abused the girl by inducing her to remove her clothing until she was completely naked and touching her on the upper part of her body over her clothes.
Main also admitted breaching the bail conditions placed on her when she first appeared in court in private on these charges.
At the time she was banned from accessing the internet.
However, she admitted going online between February 13 and February 26.
In October, Main was ordered to carry out 200 hours of community service after she admitted sparking a police investigation when she lied about being raped.
Main, of St Fitticks House, 36 Crombie Road, Aberdeen, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced next month.
