Delays to Aberdeen rubbish collection throughout Christmas

Staff shortages at Aberdeen City Council means some bin collections may not take place this weekend.
Today and tomorrow, some brown bins scheduled for collection in the city may not be emptied.
A spokesman for the local authority said refuse staff would collect the “vast majority” of bins but added “some households may not receive their service”.
The spokesman added: “Householders should still place containers out for 7am on their respective collection day on Friday and Saturday and staff on duty will endeavour to empty them.
“If by teatime the bin has not been collected, however, it should be removed from the pavement and placed out again on the next scheduled collection day.
“Aberdeen City Council apologises for any inconvenience that this may cause.”
