Six wheelies bins caught fire near the Braemar Golf Club at around 9.30pm. A member of the public reported the incident and a fire team from Ballater responded. A fire and rescue spokeswoman said that bins were “destroyed” in the blaze. She added: “It was six wheelie bins. One hose reel jet was in use.” Nobody was hurt during the fire, which was brought under control at around 10pm.
