Cycling workshops for children with special educational needs are to be held in the north-east in an effort to get more youngsters to take up the hobby.
This week (week commencing May 12), Blazing Saddles will show how specialist bikes like The Twister  – side by side – and Relaxino – semi-recumbent – can help people with additional support needs.
The workshops will take place at Westfield in Fraserburgh, St Andrews in Inverurie and Carronhill in Stonehaven.
It comes after all three schools took part in Sustrans Scotland’s Hands Up Survey in September 2013.
Aberdeenshire was the local authority with the highest returns for special education needs (SEN) schools in the whole of Scotland.
Run by Fabb Scotland, Blazing Saddles is an all ability cycling project, funded by Shared Care Scotland’s Better Breaks fund.
