One person is being treated for smoke inhalation at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following a fire in a city flat.
Emergency services were called after the kitchen went on fire at the ground-floor flat on Richmond Street, Rosemount, at around 5.30pm.
Two fire crews from Aberdeen Central and one from North Anderson Drive handled the blaze.
Ambulance crews and police were also called to the incident.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “There was two breathing apparatus in use. It was a wee fire on Richmond Street, a flat there, someone was taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. We got the call at 5.35pm.”
She added that the fire was not being investigated.
A police spokeswoman said: “We were called by the fire brigade but the fire appears to be accidental.”
An ambulance spokeswoman said: “We did take one person in just as a precaution”.
