The man was travelling on the A90 Cortes to Fraserburgh road at the time of the accident, around 2:15pm. He was thrown off his bike between the B9032 junction and Gowanhill turn off. Paramedics treated the man at the scene until an air ambulance arrived to take him to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Police officers initially directed traffic on the road but later closed it off to all vehicles. A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “It was one car versus a push bike.
