Police have said that a man missing from his north-east home purchased camping gear in Aberdeen before disappearing.
Officers are still appealing for information regarding the whereabouts of Paul Bowden, 47, who is missing from Stonehaven.
Following inquiries, the force has established that yesterday Mr Bowden purchased a green rucksack, green sleeping bag, camping mat, black two man tent, a black Peter Storm Parka jacket with furry hood and gloves from a retail outlet in Aberdeen.
A police spokesman added: “He was seen within Aberdeen city centre around midday on the 2nd of January, however his direction of travel after that is unknown.”
Anyone who has seen Mr Bowden, or who has seen him camping, should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous
