A new student president for education and welfare has been sworn in at Robert Gordon University.
Stefan Gheorghe will oversee the university’s Students’ Union after winning an election in November.
A native of Romania, the 24-year-old moved to Aberdeen seven years ago and began his academic pursuits with an HND in travel and tourism at the North East of Scotland College before joining RGU in 2012.
He recently graduated with a degree in international tourism management and will now undertake the fourth year of a degree in marine and coastal navigation and engineering alongside his presidential duties.
Mr Gheorghe said: “I want to make sure I do everything in my power to improve the academic and social experience for students.”
Joining him at the helm of the RGU:Union are president for communication and democracy Paul Greene and president for sport and physical activity Vinny O’Donovan.
Robert Gordon University students welcome new president
