The Met Office has issued a weather warning ahead of widespread hurricane winds in the north of Scotland this weekend.
The Highlands and Islands are expected to be hit hardest by the storm, with large waves and winds of up to 90mph on Saturday.
To be classified as a hurricane, winds must reach 74mph, however, forecasters have today issued a yellow warning, saying that there is a risk of 80-90mph gusts.
While the Highlands and Islands may bear the brunt of the storm, the Met Office have also issued a yellow warning for Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray, with forecasters predicting winds of up to 70mph in the north east on Saturday and Sunday.
