The plane left Newcastle Airport at 6.30pm and is expected to arrive at Aberdeen at 8.20pm. The Eastern Airways E145 aircraft was due to stop off at Durham Tees Valley Airport en route to the north-east. The plane is said to have been circling in the air near Durham airport. An Eastern Airways spokeswoman said there was no cause for concern.
