Thousands of literature, languages, film and education graduates are celebrating their success today.
As Aberdeen University’s week of graduations continued, the Class of 2022 were told they’d always be welcome in the Granite City.
Among the graduates was Michael Berkeley, Lord Berkeley of Knighton, who was presented an honouray degree for his commitment to music.
He said it was “a great honour” to join everyone on stage and encouraged them to take every opportunity that comes their way.

Aberdeen
Michael Innes will never forget the opportunities he has been able to experience during his time at Aberdeen University.
The 30-year-old from Danestone, is celebrating after receiving his degree in music today and has described his time at university as “wonderful”.
Throughout his three years of studying, he has been heavily involved in musical and theatre societies – even helping raise thousands for local charities trough Aberdeen Student Show.
Aberdeenshire
Kerrie Gillespie wants to ensure all school pupils have the opportunity to learn.
The 21-year-old, from St Combs, graduated with a degree in English today and is now planning the next step to achieve a “long-term goal” of becoming a teacher.
Inspired by her own school experience, she wants help young people in the classroom.
She said: “I hope that I can provide students with excellent teaching, knowledge and guidance because I never got that whilst I was at school.”
Highlands
Lauren Cameron might have just graduated from university, but it won’t be long before she’s back in the lecture theatre.
The 21-year-old, from Nairn, is preparing to move to France to teach English at a university in September.
She says she is looking forward to putting her French and Linguistics degree from Aberdeen University to good use.
Graeme Sutherland is also preparing to move later this summer.
The 23-year-old graduated with an English degree today, after initially starting a biomedical sciences degree at Aberdeen University.
The keen filmmaker, from Invergordon, clearly made the right decision as he also received an award for having the highest essay grades of his course this year.
Mr Sutherland is now planning to move to Glasgow to work as a floor runner on sets.
