A couple caught having sex in a Stonehaven bar are said to have been reported to the police.
The alleged incident happened at the town’s Number 44 Hotel and Bar on Saturday night, with the pair being filmed by onlookers.
The outrageous act appears to have taken place while the premises was open with other customers still in the room.
A video was put up on Facebook and subsequently shared, however, it has since been deleted.
‘We will do our best to keep Stonehaven safe’
Posting on Facebook, manager of Number 44, Michelle Ward said: “Thank you everyone for your assistance. We now have names and faces which we have passed to Police Scotland.
“On behalf of myself and my team at Number 44 we have failed miserably on this occasion. But we have had a big kick up [the] a**e and we will do our best to keep Stonehaven safe and family friendly. I humbly apologise.”
Having sex in a public place in Scotland is illegal, with it being an offence to engage in “indecent conduct” in a public place or to be seen from one.
Mrs Ward and Number 44 bar in Stonehaven have been approached for comment after the video of the couple having sex was shared online.
