His silver Vauxhall came off the road into a field around half-a-mile north of the village. Police and emergency services were called to the A950 around 8.15am. It is understood he died from his injuries at the scene. No other car was involved in the accident. Investigators are working to piece together the circumstances surrounding the crash. Witnesses are asked to call 101.
