Aberdeen city centre has been hit by a power cut which is believed to have affected thousands of properties.
It is believed properties along Great Western Road from Holburn Street to Pitstruan Place are without power.
Properties between Claremont Street and Great Western Road are said to be affected, while traffic lights have also been hit and drivers are being warned to take caution.
Scottish and Southern Energy have said engineers are working on the problem and that power should be restored by midnight tonight at the latest
Yesterday, tens of thousands of homes were left without power across Scotland as record-breaking winds of to 113mph lashed the country.
The bad weather caused chaos, toppling power lines, uprooting trees and causing widespread disruption to rail and ferry services.
The worst affected areas were the Highlands and islands of Scotland were the worst affected areas, with 100,000 properties were cut off from electricity.
