Celebrations continued today as the Robert Gordon University’s graduations entered their second day.
Aberdeen Business School’s postgraduates were joined by law undergraduates for the ceremonies at P&J Live today.
The city’s first female Lord Dean of Guild, Sylvia Halkerston also picked up an honorary degree and encouraged the crowd to “choose what you’re good at” to enjoy life beyond university.

Aberdeen
Morgan Davidson has only just graduated, but is already considering where to study next in her mission to become a fully-fledged lawyer.
The 23-year-old, who grew up in Torry, is the first in her family to go to university and admitted that graduation day felt like a “long time coming”.
She encouraged others to take it “one step at a time” as they work towards their goals.
Aberdeenshire
For Agata Clark, RGU’s diploma in professional legal practice was perfect for building up her confidence and skills.
The 23-year-old, from Ellon, is looking forward to putting that practical knowledge to good use when she starts her traineeship at J&G Collie.
She said she wanted to pursue a career in law to help people, particularly in “matters that they cannot help themselves.”
Moray
Marley Lawrence devoted himself to helping others while on his way to achieving a first class degree in events management.
The 22-year-old, from Elgin, helped raise £12,500 for charity during his studies at RGU while also being vice-president of a society devoted to fighting breast cancer.
During his course he was one of the first to produce and manage live virtual events as Covid restrictions eased.
Daisy McCran has held a life-long ambition for a career in the media after starting a hospital radio show at Dr Gray’s in Elgin when she was just 13.
The 21-year-old graduated with an honours degree in the subject from RGU on Wednesday.
She had to overcome personal battles along the way but is now looking to the future to see where her new degree can take her.
