Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses following the assault of a 22-year-old male in Aberdeen city-centre in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
The attack took place around 12.45am on Bridge Street outside the Mask nightclub when the man and his friend were approached by a group of four males.
One of them assaulted him and left him with a fractured jaw, requiring hospital treatment.
The suspect is believed to be in his mid to late 20s and medium build with dark hair. He was wearing a green parka-style jacket and blue denim jeans.
The other men with him were of a similar age and one wore a white T-shirt.
Constable Dana McIntosh of the alcohol and violence reduction unit said: “Officers are carrying out inquiries into this incident and are viewing CCTV footage in an effort to gather information on the person responsible.
“The area was busy at the time with lots of people out celebrating the new year and I urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or know anything about it, to contact police.”
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
