Police are investigating a car crash that happened in the Mintlaw area on Thursday evening.
The collision took place around 7.50pm on the A952 Toll of Birness to Mintlaw road at the Yokieshill junction.
A black Peugeot 206 suffered several hundred pounds worth of damage as a result of the crash.
Police are looking to trace a silver or grey new-style Ford Focus that was travelling towards Longside on the unclassified Stuartfield to Longside road at the time of the collision as they believe the driver may have information that could help the inquiry.
