Access to woodland near a north-east town will be restricted for public safety reasons at the end of this month.
Delgaty Woods car park at Turriff will be closed between Monday, January 26, and Saturday, February 7, while the Forestry Commission carries out felling work.
Members of the public will be able to access some sections of the woods from the Ardin car park, nut some trails will be closed off.
Emily Holmes from the Forestry Commission’s Aberdeenshire team said: “While we are working in the area of the car park, it’s sensible to close the car park to help keep people safe.
“We’d strongly advise that for their own safety, visitors observe any on-site signage and stick to the diversion routes.
“We apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause but hope that visitors will understand why we are doing it.”
Delgatie Castle will not be affected by the closure.
