One of the most popular car shows in the north-east was back on Sunday for the first time since Covid.
The Grampian Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club’s (JEC) Annual Gathering and Car Show was held on the south lawn at Drum Castle.
Crammed full with strawberries and cream, Aberdeenshire sunshine and sleek Jaguars lining the lawn, its return was much welcomed.
Treasurer Stuart Ellis said although it had been quieter than usual this year, it was “really nice to be back”.
He added: “It was great to be back, quite a few of the members said that as well. They haven’t really been able to get their cars out on display for the last two or three years. So it’s been really good.
“Unusually we didn’t have any rain. Normally on a Jaguar weekend it rains so we had really good weather.
“We had cars there from the 1930s, right up to the 2020s and had 54 Jaguars on display so the lawn was pretty full at the back of Drum Castle.”
The Westhill resident said the Gordon Highlanders Association pipe band was also performing at the event and Peter Vardy has offered a weekend with a selected Jaguar as a grand prize for the raffle.
He said: “We have to thank Peter Vardy Jagger for their input for bringing cars along and a couple of staff, which is really good.”
The show also raises money for charities which this year is AberNecessities. Although Mr Ellis has not yet counted the funds raised, he said he believed it would be around ÂŁ1,500-ÂŁ2,000.
