Emergency services got the call shortly after 10.30pm and are now at the scene on the A93 Perth to Aberdeen road, just west of Ballater. Police, fire and rescue and ambulance services all attended. Fire and rescue service have since been stood down. The road has been closed at Crathie for motorists travelling east and at Dinnett for motorists coming west, unless they are heading to Ballater. Police say it is unlikely a diversion route will be put in place as many of the roads are impassable due to snow and ice. Officers are currently holding traffic while they attempt to clear the snow from diversion routes. It is not known at this stage whether anyone was injured as a result of the accident.
