Grangepark Care Home in Peterhead has been praised for high standards By the Care Inspectorate.
After an unannounced inspection took place in April, inspectors described the home as “very good” across in leadership and the care it provided to its residents.
The home is managed by Aberdeenshire Council, and had 28 people living in the facility at the time of the inspection.
Inspectors found “significant strengths” in Grangepark’s care and how it supported people. Leadership at the Meethill Road home was also praised.
The report said staff “got to know the care and support needs” of the people in the unit or wing.
Patients at the Peterhead care home praised the staff, by saying that “staff are lovely, I feel safe and well cared for”. One resident said and that you could “not get better carers, they know exactly what I like”.
‘We really do feel like a family’
Grangepark Care Home manager, Jennifer Lauder said: “I am honestly just so chuffed. The team here have been amazing throughout Covid and I could not be prouder of them and happier for our residents.
“We really do feel like a family and we care so much about how our residents feel and what we can do to make them even happier and more settled.”
Aberdeenshire Integration Joint Board chairwoman, Rhona Atkinson added: “This is a really great inspection report and I congratulate Jennifer and her team for doing so well.
“The inspectors have clearly picked up on the enthusiasm and care that the staff demonstrate every day in the care they give residents.”
