It has finally arrived! After weeks of watching on as the rest of Scotland get their share of snow, the white stuff has now arrived in Aberdeen!
The Met Office issued a yellow “be aware” warning for snow and ice for much of the north east of Scotland.
And true to the forecaster’s word, we are now seeing plenty of snow across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire this evening.
Forecasters expect the snow to continue to fall throughout the evening and are predicting up to five centimetres of snow on inland areas above 200 metres with more expected at higher altitudes, while coastal areas are more likely to experience a mix of rain and sleet.
