A joint investigation into the cause of the Northbay Pelagic blaze which devastated one of the north-east’s biggest employers is continuing today.
Fire service investigators visited the scene yesterday and were on site again this morning.
A police incident support vehicle is also present.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “An appliance has been going back and forth today, just to check everything is alright.
“Our investigators were on site yesterday and the investigation is ongoing.”
A police spokesman added “enquiries are ongoing”.
The frontage of the North Bay Pelagic headquarters was deemed to be unsafe following the massive fire and the former Crosse and Blackwell canning factory is being torn down.
Contractors are using a 25-tonne Volvo excavator to rip out twisted steel work which was melted by the fire.
