The developers behind the plans for Marischal Square last night branded unauthorised 3D images of the scheme “poor quality” and “spurious”.
Muse bosses spoke out as they released a new picture showing how Aberdeen landmark, Marischal College, might look from the site (see below).
Opponents reacted furiously when the unofficial images of the office, hotel and retail complex were released by Pinnacle Visualisation earlier this month.
Steve Turner, Scottish regional director at Muse Developments, said: “It is unfortunate and disappointing that the poor quality, unauthorised and spurious images released earlier this month have caused alarm and concern around the Marischal Square development for people living and working in Aberdeen and those who are genuinely interested in the project’s impact on the city.
“New images which truly reflect Marischal Square will be released in April. The development will bring 300 new jobs to the area during the construction phase, with around 1,500 people working on site once it is fully completed and occupied in 2017.
“The project will also help sustain a significant number of jobs in the area by bringing new life and employment into the city centre.”
