The Mazda came to a stop against a tree, and the passenger side is badly damaged. The front of the BMW has also been left a crumpled wreck.
A 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment. Their condition is unknown.
A man has been arrested in connection with the crash.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to a two car crash on Desswood Place, Aberdeen, around 3.55pm on Sunday, August 14.
“A 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman have been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
“A man has also been arrested in connection with the incident.”
