One Diamond Street was opened just over two months ago, with the intention of creating a lounge-style atmosphere with live music every Saturday night.
The Diamond Street premises has previously been the Mint Luxury Club and Aurum nightclub before that.
The club caught a lot of attention by announcing that one of its golden booths would cost a whopping £1,200 for the night, seating up to 15 people at a time.
But now City businessman Russel Davidson has said that the bar has now closed and will now become a restaurant with enough room for 180 customers.
He said that the the restaurant will be similar to the swanky Qualingo’s restaurant in London, and is due to open in early April.
