A woman who was locked up earlier this week for forcing a nine-year-old girl to stand naked in front of a webcam was yesterday back in court for threatening to cut her ex’s throat.
Shannon Main was sentenced to a total of two years detention on Monday after she admitted stripping the girl of her clothes, taking pictures of her and distributing the images.
She also made the child stand naked while two men watched on Skype.
The 20-year-old carried out the abuse between January and November 4, 2013, and was only caught after the little girl confided in her brother, who then told her mum.
Yesterday Main was back in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and admitted acting in a threatening and abusive manner on March 13 last year after her former partner started to spread rumours about her impending court case.
Fiscal depute Stephanie Ross told the court Main’s current boyfriend had received a phone call from her ex – Lee Zaccardelli – about returning some of her belongings.
Main was placed on speaker phone and could soon be heard on the line saying “you are getting your throat cut” and “you are lucky you never got punched in the face when I saw you the other day”.
Mr Zaccardelli then contacted the police.
Solicitor Stewart Murray said his client had been reacting to comments her ex had made about the charges that landed her in detention on Monday.
Yesterday Sheriff William Taylor fined Main £250. As she is currently detained she will serve the alternative sentence of 14 days in custody.
