A north-east mum fraudulently claimed more than £16,000 in benefits over two and a half years.
Jenna Taylor appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted three charges against her.
Between January 2011 and July 2013, the 28-year-old failed to inform Aberdeen City Council that she was living with her partner Allan Leslie.
As a result she obtained £7,652.84 in housing benefits and £1,480.36 in council tax benefit she was not entitled to.
She further failed to inform the Department of Work and Pensions (DOWP) that she was living with Mr Leslie at 74 Ardarroch Close, Aberdeen, between January and November 2011.
During this time she received £3,785.54 in income support she was not entitled to.
Taylor, of 14 Townhead Drive, Inverurie, also falsely stated on a DOWP form that she was single and living on her own with her two children when she was in fact living with Mr Leslie.
During this time she claimed £3,278.95 fraudulently.
In total Taylor took £16,197.69 from the authorities.
Sheriff William Taylor deferred sentence on her until next month for background reports to be carried out into her character.
