Temperatures today could reach as high as 7C in Aberdeen and Inverness with just a small chance of rain. Slippery conditions caused misery for commuters in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire yesterday as a spate of crashes and huge tailbacks dominated the roads. Drivers reported gridlock situations on the A90 with some taking an hour to get to Aberdeen from Stonehaven. Council chiefs last night, however, denied that they had been caught off-guard by the hazardous road conditions that catalysed the rush hour chaos.
