The accident, involving a silver VW Golf and a beige Citroen C3, happened between Portlethen and the Charleston flyover just before 3.50pm. An ambulance service spokeswoman said two people were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with minor injuries. She could not comment on the nature of their injuries or say whether they were male or female. A police spokeswoman said the northbound carriageway reopened shortly before 5pm and the southbound carriageway is expected to reopen soon.
