Forestry Commission Scotland will be cutting down trees at the side of the B979 Tyrebagger to Kirkton of Skene road. The felling is part of an ongoing harvesting operation, and traffic restrictions will be in place from 9.30am to 3.30pm. A short stretch of road will be affected in both directions about half-a-mile from the road’s junction with the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road. Motorists will be stopped in both directions for no more than two minutes at a time, but are being advised to expect delays as traffic clears. Harvesting forester Helen Webb said: “The traffic management will only last one day and we apologise for any inconvenience that this will cause. “The wider thinning programme goes on until mid-February and we would remind everyone that forest operations are dangerous. “It is vitally important that visitors observe signage and do not come into the woods where we will be working.”
