Returning for its tenth year, Aberdeen Art Fair – taking place this weekend – offers stunning pieces by famous artists as well as local creatives.

The fair, which officially launched on Friday night (September 2), provides a unique opportunity to admire and buy works by leading Scottish figurative painter Peter Howson as well as Frances Walker – one of the country’s most highly-regarded living artists.

Attendees can also get their hands on limited edition prints by Tracey Emin – whose pink and blue neon love heart-shaped sign is on display at Aberdeen Art Gallery.

Aberdeen-based artists, including Gray’s School Of Art graduate Ade Adesina, are also exhibiting.

We dropped by the Music Hall to admire the beautiful paintings, sculptures and sketches available to buy and see which artworks would add a lovely touch to our homes.

Our photographer went along to the launch event on Friday night to capture the atmosphere and catch locals as they enjoy art-themed cocktails and the art on display.

Take a look to see if you recognise anyone, or maybe even yourself…
