A man is being questioned by police after a schoolgirl was flashed at in Aberdeen’s city centre.
The move came after officers released CCTV images of a male they wanted to trace in connection with the incident at Flourmill Lane on Monday morning.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We can confirm that a man wanted in connection with an indecent exposure incident on Flourmill Lane, Aberdeen, has been traced and is assisting police with inquiries.”
Police said the youngster – an eight-year-old girl – had been left “extremely distressed” as a result of the incident, but was uninjured.
Increased police patrols have been in place since Monday and officers have been liaising with schools to make sure parents are aware.
