Several ferry services in the north have fallen victim to the bad weather this morning.
Passengers are advised to check with their operator before travelling.
Calmac has cancelled eight services and many others are on amber alert.
Those which will not run are Ullapool-Stornoway, Oban-Colonsay, Kennacraig-Port Askaig, Coll-Tiree, Uig-Lochmaddy, Mallaig-Armadale, Mallaig-the Small Isles, and Mallaig-Lochboisdale.
Northlink has also cancelled services because of the forecast.
The MV Hamnavoe is berthed in Stromness and all morning services have been cancelled.
The 4.45pm sailing from Stromness and 7pm sailing from Scrabster are under review and a decision will be made at 2.30pm.
The MV Hrossey is schedules to leave Aberdeen at 5pm, sailing for the Northern Isles.
However, it will no longer stop at Kirkwall, instead sailing direct to Lerwick.
