ByChris Cromar and Sandy McCook
Residents of Royal Deeside’s biggest town were out in force to pay tribute to Her Majesty, who died on Thursday after serving 70 years on the throne.
The High Street was packed with people wanting to say a final goodbye to the Queen, with people holding placards and waving flags as the hearse went by.
A well-known town on Royal Deeside, the Queen visited Banchory on a number of occasions and the town is well known for its royal connections.
