Her Majesty The Queen was known to be a huge animal lover.
Her passion for corgis is well documented and the fact she had one pet named Muick after her favourite beauty spot on the Balmoral Estate speaks volumes about her affection for the breed and this part of the world.
Over her seven-decade-long reign, the Queen owned more than 30 dogs and many were the iconic Royal corgis.
The breed and the Queen now go hand-in-hand and you can’t think of one without thinking of the other.
So, with that in mind, it’s only fitting that we shine the spotlight on the many dogs that bid farewell as the Queen’s cortege travelled through Aberdeenshire one last time.
