Woman trapped in car on Aberdeenshire road

A woman was trapped in her car following an accident in Aberdeenshire earlier this evening.

The incident, involving one car, took place on the A93 Perth to Aberdeen road at Crathes at around 7.20pm.

The car, a maroon Skoda Fabia, flipped on its side leaving a woman stuck inside.

Emergency services were called out to the scene and helped the woman get out of the vehicle.

According to police, she did not need to be taken to hospital and was treated at the scene.

The road had been blocked in both directions but traffic is now flowing as normal.
