Members of the public are being invited see for themselves how the regeneration of a major UK city could help shape the future of Aberdeen.
Aberdeen City Council recently invited Eddie Smith – one of the people behind the successful regeneration of Manchester – to give a presentation in the Cowdray Hall as part of the ongoing City Centre Masterplan project.
The event was invitation-only, but was filmed and can now be viewed on the local authority’s website.

During his talk, Mr Smith – strategic development director for Manchester City Council – highlighted the similarities between both cities and outlined the various initiatives employed to transform Manchester from its post-industrial decline into a thriving, modern city.
Another City Talk event is due to take place at the start of next month.
