Police charge Aberdeen driver after video released on YouTube

Police Scotland has confirmed that a man accused of driving while using a mobile, headphones and a laptop has been charged.

The incident took place on Queens Road on Thursday 5 February when the driver of a blue 4×4 was allegedly captured on camera by a mystery cyclist known as Aberdeen Cycle Cam.

The 46-year-old man is expected to appear in court at a later date.

A police spokesperson said: “Police can confirm that following enquiries into footage showing a road traffic matter on Queens Road, Aberdeen, a 46-year-old man has been charged and reported to the procurator fiscal.”
