Businesses in the north-east’s biggest town are being urged to sign up for a local authority advice and grant scheme before tonight’s deadline.
Aberdeenshire Council’s Retail Plus Scheme introduces local firms to business tsars from the Retailer Group.
Peterhead businesses can apply for up to £2,000 of funding from the local authority if they are able to match the amount themselves.
Retailers will have a last chance to register their interest at a meeting organised by the council today at 5.30pm in Arbuthnott House.
The local authority’s Peterhead project officer Heather Barclay said: “The response we’ve had from local retailers has been very enthusiastic, so far 19 businesses have registered their interest.
“This means that more than half of the available places have already been taken and as there are only 16 left, I urge any interested retailers to come along to hear more about the scheme and sign up.”
